Hinxworth Parish Council.
Following our July 5thMeeting it was decided that this note should go out to as many of our Local Residents as possible. This week a house in The Close off the High Street was broken into in broad day light. Means of entry was gained by smashing a complete glass door. This comes on the back of a similar incident within 2 years. There is no reason to connect these crimes. We have also had a car stolen from a residents drive again the house been broken into to get the keys. While it’s not our intention to make people feel unsafe, I am sure we are well below against the national average for these kind of crimes. But we may be able to do more by keeping an eye open for each other, anything which you feel is anyway suspious. Strangers, Parked Vans/Cars in unusual places. Note the Reg Plates & a description of the of the Van/Car/Motor Bike. People knocking on your door looking for people who don’t exist Our PCSO Chris Brabrook is on 01438 757935. Or ring 999. Times have changed over the last 5 years with more & more people coming and going with Internet deliveries in all sorts of vans & Cars. Which I feel has made us a little blind to people/cars/vans we don’t recognise. We live in a relaxed environment which is great, but we feel as a Parish Council we need to raise awareness to protect ourselves and look out for our fellow villagers. It should also be said , that the latest victim of break in has been happy with the Police Force’s response. Kind Regards Richard Cobb. Chair of Hinxworth Parish Council. Comments are closed.
