"We moved to Hinxworth in 1981 to run The Three Horseshoes , when we left 7 years later we stayed in the village because of the Community & Friendly environment, which is still the same today.

Vice Chairman I have been living in the village since 2014 with my wife Karen and we embraced the friendly caring nature of this small but pretty Hertfordshire village straight away, and I’m very impressed with the community spirit and motivation to make things happen, which is key in a small community like ours. I enjoy an active life with golf, cycling and walking as my main pursuits, but I am also enjoy gardening, my home and general DIY

Clerk
I been spent my early years in Bygrave then I moved away. It had always been my intention to come back to the area which I did with my husband in 1999. Some of the people in the surrounding
villages are people related to families I knew before I moved away. It’s good to be back. |

Tony Lloyd Councillor I have lived in Hinxworth with my wife Patricia for 27 years. I spent my working life in newspapers, starting out on a local weekly in Yorkshire and ending up at The Daily Telegraph where I spent 29 years editing the news pages before retiring in 2016. I enjoy playing golf and gardening, both at home and on our allotment in the village. This is my second stint on the Parish Council, having served as Clerk for several years when we settled in Hinxworth. |
